Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Proximity (“the app”), operated by Josh Davies (“we”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Proximity. By using the app you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity on your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use and content

You are responsible for the photos, comments, group names, and other content you provide (“your content”). You agree not to upload, post, or share content that:

• is unlawful, infringing, or violates anyone’s rights;
• is sexually explicit, pornographic, or obscene;
• is hateful, harassing, threatening, or promotes violence or discrimination;
• depicts or encourages self-harm or illegal activity;
• contains another person’s private information without consent; or
• is spam, malware, or otherwise harmful.

You also agree not to harass, abuse, or harm other users.

No tolerance for objectionable content

We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You can report content from any match and block other users from within the app. We review reports and act on objectionable content or abusive users, including removing content and suspending or terminating accounts, typically within 24 hours of a report.

Your content and license

You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, and display your content as needed to operate the app (for example, showing a matched photo to the person you matched with once you reveal it). You represent that you have the rights to the content you provide.

Termination

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time (in your profile, choose “Delete account”). We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service or its users.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that matches are accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
